Our story.

Hello!

I’m Hayley, the owner and sole trader of Double Parched.

Double Parched is my [first] love child, an idea that sprouted in 2022 from my love of escaping corporate life by getting creative in the kitchen and sharing family recipes with family and friends. To me, there is nothing more fun or therapeutic than putting on some good music and getting in the kitchen to making something wholesome and truly delicious, then sharing it with others.

For those who know me, know the mantra for “work hard, play hard” describes me very well - I work damn hard, but love to have fun just the same. This is partially where the name Double Parched came from - a play on words for “double parked” but more so from our flagship product, Aunty Lil’s Relish, which takes two days to make and the preserve nature of our products being “parched”.

With overwhelming support from my circle, and after having my first [human] baby, I finally decided to pull the pin and launch this idea that had been brewing for over two years.

For me, there is nothing more motivating than working to provide for my family and sharing what is so loved by ours, to all our family and friends. By sharing our loved products and recipes, I hope your family and friends feel the love as you share our products with your circle, too.
